Aus4Transport is implemented through two streams of activities: Stream A and Stream B.

Stream B activities aim to address bottlenecks and improve project development and financing through a holistic, long-term and sustainable approach. These activities are focused on introducing change and encouraging the adoption of best practice. Stream B initiatives will lead to:

• Revised and updated policies that align with international best international practice and respond to Vietnam’s specific needs,
• Development of guidelines and standards to be mainstreamed across the transport sector in Vietnam,
• Testing of innovative concepts.

Stream B activities constitute a key element of Aus4Transport support, as they address particular needs in the Ministry of Transport, such as upgrading specific knowledge and skills and providing guidance on gender responsiveness, disability and social inclusion, social safeguard measures and environmental mitigation.
